What to Expect

DrCeceliaandPuppy

Our mission as a hospital is to provide high quality veterinary care at a reasonable price. We feel privileged to be able to serve our local Redbank Valley community and beyond, and committed to you and your pets in offering exceptional client service and veterinary health care.

When your pet visits our facility, whether it be for a routine wellness examination or a sick visit, you can expect to be greeted by our friendly receptionists and veterinary assistants. After you and your pet are taken to one of our five examination rooms, one of our veterinarians will perform a thorough nose to tail examination, examining all of the structures of the head, thoracic cavity, abdominal cavity, limbs, and tail.

From there, our veterinarians will create an individualized health plan catered to your pet’s needs and your lifestyle. For wellness visits, appropriate vaccinations and preventatives will be recommended. For sick visits, further diagnostics may be recommended to aid our veterinarians in finding out what is ailing your pet. Such diagnostics may include bloodwork, urinalysis, radiographs (X-ray), ultrasound, fecal analysis, and laboratory testing. From there, our veterinarians will work with you to come up with a treatment plan that fills both you and your pet’s needs. Treatment options may include go-home prescription medications; however, our facility is capable of hospitalization and surgery if that is what your pet needs.

Our veterinarians are happy to explain to you any diagnosis your pet receives and are more than happy to answer any questions you may have at the time of diagnosis. Our trained veterinary assistants are more than happy to demonstrate administering any medications if you would like.

If necessary, our veterinarians may refer you to a specialist if they believe that more precise knowledge and expertise could benefit your pet. Veterinary specialists are veterinarians who have completed additional studies in order to become board certified. There are specialists for a variety of disciplines including: internal medicine, surgery, emergency and critical care, dermatology, neurology, radiology, cardiology, nutrition, and ophthalmology.

We also strive for excellence in surgery and providing compassionate end of life care.

When you bring your pets routinely into our facility for care, you can expect a family and community oriented environment from compassionate veterinarians and staff who truly love animals. When you are here, you are family.

From you, we expect you to act in a manner of respect to all of our staff. We understand that an unexpected diagnosis, medical complications, or pricing can be extremely frustrating, but acting in a disrespectful manner to our staff is not tolerated. We appreciate your understanding in the event of long wait times. Emergency appointments and euthanasias can put the schedule behind. We also expect you to be able to provide a comprehensive history of your pet at the time of appointment. Knowing how long your pet has been ill, how they have been eating, and any other symptoms can aid in the diagnosis and treatment of your pet.
